Our Year 7s may only have been at school for half a term but they already have their favourite lessons!

A selection talked about how easily they have settled into secondary school life.

Leon said: “I have settled in easily. The main difference from primary school is travelling between lessons. That makes it a bit different.”

Sandra said: “It’s amazing! I already had a lot of friends here and my cousin is in Year 10 and she has helped me settle in. My favourite subject is Geography.”

Charlotte said: “Everyone has been really kind. I didn’t know hardly anyone when I first came here but I have made friends easily. My favourite lesson is Technology.”

Lola said: “The teachers are really helpful around school. I like English and Geography the best but I do find you get a lot more homework than we did at primary school.”

Lucy added: “My favourite lesson is English and the Maths is a lot harder at Priory!”

Head of Year 7 Mrs Farley said: “I’m really impressed by the Year 7s this year. It’s like they’ve always been here!  I think with so many coming to Summer School this has really helped them to settle in a lot quicker too.

“They are getting to grips with the systems and how we work which can be quite overwhelming – but they’re all taking the advice given and asking for help when it’s needed and they are getting more and more confident each day. They’re really getting stuck into life at Priory and it’s great to see! I’m looking forward to seeing them get involved in everything that Priory has to offer as the year goes on.”
