After two years of waiting, Priory's Year 9, 10 & 11s finally set off on their trip to London and Paris on Wednesday.

Due to the hiatus of Covid, the trip, originally planned back in 2019 for October 2020, finally set off with almost 50 pupils and staff making the journey to Paris via London.  First stop was Harry Potter World on Wednesday after an early morning start from Penwortham.

Mr Bullock reported on Wednesday evening, "Day 1 of the London-Paris Trip: Early start and straight to Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio tour before a bus tour of the sights including Trafalgar Square; Nelson’s Column and Shaftesbury Avenue topped off with a meal at Bubba Gump Shrimp. Tired kids and staff!

Day 2 saw the group travel more sites of London including a guided tour of Shakespeare's The Globe Theatre, the London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral plus a couple of hours in the Natural History Museum. The group then walked through Knightsbridge taking in Harrods en route to Buckingham Palace. Following that they walked The Mall into Trafalgar Square before heading for food at The Rainforest Cafe.  Late into the evening they headed to Dover for a midnight crossing of the Channel heading towards Calais with most of the bus already fast asleep!

Day 3 It was another early start this morning, however a day full of joy and thrills lay ahead when Mr Bullock sent a shot of the group at Disneyland Paris.  The group arrived at Disneyland Paris as the gates opened, meaning 12 hours on the rides!! An absolutely fantastic day with roller coasters, big parades and plenty of candy floss!!

Day 4 The last full day in France meant an experience of the sights and sounds of Paris. Starting with Sacre-Coeur and a trip inside the Basilica, before a walk around Notre Dame and Ile de Citie. After lunch in the Latin Quarter, the group walked along the north bank past The Louvre before getting on Bateaux-Mouches for a trip down the Seine. Once disembarked, a quick visit to the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomph before eating in Monte-Carlo. A thoroughly enjoyable day in the 26 degree heat!

Day 5 Docking at Dover.  There'll be some very tired pupils on Monday morning!
