We've got loads going on around school on Thursday to celebrate this year's World Book Day - from our usual book-themed quizzes and activities, to decorating classroom doors as book covers and dressing up!

New this year, we also have 'The Masked Reader' where staff will be reading a script with clues as to who they are. It won't be as easy as you think though as we'll be using a voice changer app to disguise their voices.

Thanks to Debate Club, also this year pupils and staff may dress up as book characters if they wish.

Mrs Elliott's quiz will be based on 'what books really got us into reading'.  For her, she admits, it wasn't necessarily one book.  "I was really hooked in by reading Greek Myths and Legends as I loved the other worldly nature of the adventures that unfolded.  Have to say I was also intrigued by some of the more sinister/barbaric elements!"
