Priory pupils certainly knew how to have flipping fun when Pancake Day came along last week.

At break last Tuesday, pupils gathered in their House teams to take part in an inter-house pancake flipping competition in the Assembly Hall.

The teams of five flippers each had one a minute to score as many flips as they could and the house with the highest total won the contest.

Food Technology teacher and Vice Principal, Mrs Cowell, provided the pans and the pancakes however the latter didn't last long and soon Mrs Bullock was off to find a more durable replacement from the PE department.

Competition organiser, Mr Raynor, said, "Thank you to all who took part and spectated at break, there was a great atmosphere and some impressive flippers!"

The winners were Douglas, followed by Calder in second place, and Hodder and Ribble third and fourth respectively.

Best individual performers were Tom S (Year 10) and Billy M (Year  10) - both Douglas.

Well done team Douglas!
