Priory's award-winning gardens welcomed a number of special visitors last week as Penwortham in Bloom committee members and competition winners were invited to enjoy an Open Gardens event hosted by the school.

Guests were given a tour of the beautiful grounds by Priory’s gardener Mr Farron, whose hard work and dedication has already earned widespread recognition. At the end of the summer term, Mr Farron was awarded Penwortham in Bloom's Gold Award for School Gardens, Best in Class for School Gardens and the prestigious Winner of Winners title.

The occasion included an unexpected surprise for Mr Farron when the Mayor of Penwortham, Cllr Tracey Flannery, arrived to congratulate him in person. 

The visit provided a fitting celebration of Mr Farron’s remarkable achievement and the positive impact the gardens have on the school community, with guests praising the stunning displays and the care and commitment that have gone into creating them.
