Reward Trip Day - A Wild Day Out at Blackpool Zoo
25 June 2025
On Tuesday, 24 June, a group of our well-deserving pupils enjoyed a fantastic day out at Blackpool Zoo as part of this year’s Rewards Trips.
These trips were organised to recognise pupils who have consistently demonstrated excellent behaviour, strong attendance, and upheld the Priory standard throughout the academic year.
The zoo trip was one of three options offered, alongside visits to the Trafford Centre and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. With limited places available, the lucky few who chose the zoo were treated to a day filled with fascinating creatures.
Travelling by school minibus, the group arrived ready to explore. One of the highlights of the day - captured in a cracking photo - was when a particularly cheeky rainbow lorikeet decided to perch on Vice Principal Mrs Cowell’s head during a feeding session!
These trips were not only a reward but also a chance for pupils to relax, bond with friends, and enjoy a memorable experience outside the classroom. A big thank you to the staff who accompanied the trips, and those who organised enrichment activities for those pupils who chose to stay in school, and of course, to Mrs Massey for coordinating the whole event - no mean feat!
We look forward to seeing even more pupils earning their place on next year’s adventures!
