Last Wednesday, we welcomed the Lancaster University School of Maths (LUSoM) who came to Priory to deliver enrichment sessions to top set Year 8 and Year 9 pupils.
Head of Maths, Mr Kenrick said, "The session gave students real-world examples as well as explaining what LUSoM is as a college. The Year 8 workshop engaged pupils in gaming, risk and maths whilst the Year 9s learned about exponential growth and decay."
LUSoM is a sixth form community for high ability mathematicians. Based close to Cardinal Newman College in Preston, it provides an intellectually stimulating and challenging curriculum along with high-quality resources for 16-19 year olds who love maths.
