Mrs Elliott's cool reader's club - Emma

Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...
These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher. We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading. Introducing Emma...
Emma would like to be a physiotherapist and her favourite subject is science at Priory – but she still finds time to read.
“I am currently reading The Austen Girls by Lucy Worsley about two girls who need to marry rich people. It’s really interesting.
“I usually like murder-mystery books so this is something a bit different. I saw it in the library and just thought it looked good.
“My favourite subject is Science as I like the experiments and, out of school, I like gymnastics and also am part of 6 Penwortham Scouts.
“I enjoy that as we learn new skills such as knots, map-reading and using a compass.
“I would like to be a physiotherapist as I had two operations on my feet when I was younger and the physios really helped me. I would like to do the same for other people.”
Emma's English teacher, Mr Owen, added, "Emma loves reading! She is a huge fan of Robin Stevens' series 'A Murder Most Unladylike'; indeed, she was saving up to own the entire set at one point! Driven, thoughtful, and diligent, Emma is an exemplary English student."
