The innovative Reporting system developed at Priory by J. Cowell and J. Hourigan has proved to be an enormous success both within the school as well as with other schools.

The first phase of the system involved the development of a Reporting System that would allow us to produce quality reports for pupils and parents. (see attached file)

Phase 2 of the project involves aspects such as:

• recording of incidents (both good and bad) into individual student records;
• mentoring programmes or other strategies recorded in order to support students;
• individual student targeting information

As the system is used by staff, we are gathering more and more information on pupils in a systematic and organised way. For the first time we are able to look at an individual student’s progress on screen without having to trawl through filing cabinets and files. At the click of a few buttons we can look at last year’s reports and compare one report with another (see attached file).

Phase 3 is then to give parents access to this information via a secure internet connection – details of which we hope will be available during the next 2 terms.

The programme has been demonstrated to other schools locally and already we have sold the system to a number of them, bringing the profits back into the school for the benefit of all the students. Interest is so high that we are already planning our next demonstration sessions for schools.
